People often ask us what kind of businesses we’re looking to invest in. While every venture is unique, typically, we take one of two fundamental approaches:

We acquire a company to operate it long term.

We invest in companies to help them grow.

Here are a few key criteria that help us find the right fit:

You want to sell your business.

Ideally, you’re a profitable Canadian company generating an annual EBITDA of over $1 million with a Total Enterprise Value between $2 and $25 million. Or potentially, a smaller business that’s in-line with one of our existing ventures. Your business is well respected in its industry. As owners or majority shareholders, you’re looking to exit the business now or in the near future.

You’re looking for new investors.

Ideally, you’re the founder or owners of a growing local, national or multinational business. You and your company have a clear vision, an innovative approach and a competitive edge. You understand your market. You know your strengths and have a good idea where you need improvement or advice. The more we know about the full picture, the more we can help.
