We’re giving back by giving more, of ourselves.

We’re giving back by giving more, of ourselves.

We’re giving back by giving more, of ourselves.

At Fulmer & Company we wholeheartedly believe in supporting our communities. Over the years, we’ve given both time and money to a number of community organizations. We believe that by giving our financial support and our personal assistance, we can help do the most good. Every one of our team members dedicates a great deal of personal time to giving back to our communities through volunteer work, and we encourage it in every way.

Fulmer & Company was a Founding Partner in Goodly Foods™, a unique social enterprise created in partnership with the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. The organization has two overarching goals: 1) To turn surplus produce into nutritious food products, and 2) To provide training and jobs for people who face significant barriers to employment, helping break the cycle of poverty. Goodly Foods opened its new production facility in March 2019 and will be expanding to make even more good food and create even more jobs.

See the Global News story about Goodly Foods:

The excitement we feel about Goodly Foods and its potential impact has inspired us to create The Fulmer Foundation. Going forward, The Fulmer Foundation will be the centre point for our corporate philanthropic work, enabling us to work with other individuals and organizations to achieve more. With Goodly Foods we saw the power of a collaborative approach in addressing an issue, and we want to use that same approach to leverage our own resources and those of others, in order to maximize the impact of our efforts.

Right now, The Fulmer Foundation is focusing its support on the continued growth of Goodly Foods, and a number of projects in our community, primarily the following:

  • We are proud to be the multi-year title sponsor of the Fulmer Award in First Nations Art, offered by the British Columbia Achievement Foundation.

  • We are Commissioning Sponsor of The Flight of the Hummingbird for the Vancouver Opera, a new opera for young audiences based on traditional stories.

  • We provided funding for Boys and Girls Clubs of the South Coast, BC to develop a Truth and Reconciliation program.

  • We are the Presenting Partner and Volunteer Sponsor for the Odlum Brown VanOpen Community Day, helping inspire young people through tennis.

We are extremely fortunate to have the involvement of our dedicated board members who have graciously given their time, strategic thinking and heart to The Fulmer Foundation.
