It was an honour for the Western Restaurant Franchise Inc. (WRFI) team to put together a special fundraising event in support of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirit People (#MMIWG2S+) on May 5.
Teaming up with the Nistawoyou Association Friendship Centre, the day raised funds to support the Centre’s community programs and services. Visitors to A&W locations in Fort McMurray, Alberta, helped raise $2,500 as WFRI donated $1 for each Teen Burger sold. Every little bit helps when joining the call to say ‘enough is enough’—not one more stolen sister.
