Fulmer & Company is pleased to announce an investment in ChopValue Manufacturing Ltd., a Vancouver based product engineering and design firm promoting urban harvesting concept.

At ChopValue, Felix Böck, CEO and Founder, and his team are devoted to give bamboo chopsticks a second life. “it’s simply not justified to only use them once”, says Felix, while looking at those disposable chopsticks. The business starts off with a collection program where thousands of used bamboo chopsticks are recycled and brought to the ChopValue micro-factory, then through a careful process, they are transformed into beautiful home objects, furnishings and other market ready products.

The company is entering its 4th year and expecting to open new franchise micro-factories in Asia, in addition to Victoria, Montreal and Los Angeles locations.

“I see exponential growth potential in Felix and ChopValue. The business concept leverages a reusable resource and elegantly turns the recycled product into high-valued retail goods – that’s just marvelous”, said Yuri Fulmer, Chairman of Fulmer & Co. We are thrilled to partner with Felix and the ChopValue team to drive even more success for this business.”

This investment by Fulmer & Company was part of ChopValue’s fully subscribed pre-series A round.
